Abstract

Abstract. Toilet Training is a way to control the habit of urinating and defecating in the toilet. This
study aims to determine the description of the level of parental knowledge about toilet training
readiness in preschool children (3-6 years) at PAUD Hasanah and Dharma Wanita Persatuan
Medalem Kindergarten, Tulangan Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency. This type of research is descriptive
research using a cross sectional design conducted in January - March 2023. The number of sam-ples
in this study were 49 parents with total sampling technique. The results showed that parents who had
good knowledge and had children with successful toilet training skills were 19 children (39%), while
parents who had good knowledge were 29 people (59%). Children who are successful in toilet
training are 19 children (39%) and children who are late in toilet training are 10 people (20%). From
the results of cross tabulation, it is found that there is a rela-tionship between the level of parental
knowledge about toilet training readiness in preschool children (3-6 years). Most parents have good
knowledge about toilet training because they have received information from health center staff and
internet media, most preschool children (3-6 years old) are successful in toilet training because
children have been given intensive stimulation by their parents, and most preschool children are
successful in toilet training because parents have good knowledge about toilet training..
